Every renovation,a rock-solid file.
You open a wall, and the surprise is there: a hidden pipe, a crack, something no one had seen. Here is the file that keeps the before-state, and the record of everything you add along the way.

Software shouldn't just help you run your business. It should strengthen your credibility with the best clients, and protect your interests the day a job gets tense.

Where a job tips over
With renovation, the risk isn't in the quote.
It's in what you find when you open up, and in what shifts as the job goes. Four moments decide whether a job ends as a recommendation or a dispute.
The surprise behind the wall
A pipe that was on no plan, a wall that won't hold, asbestos. The rule is clear: you stop, you price a variation, you get it signed before resuming. Without that signed variation, the extra work is on you.
“But you told me it would be this much”
The budget climbs as the job reveals its surprises. The client contests the overrun. If they haven't signed the variations as you went, it's your word against theirs, and often your margin that takes the hit.
The crack that was already there
Work finished, the client points at a crack, a mark, some damage. Without the before-condition record, there's no way to prove it was already like that: by default, it's pinned on you.
The job that drags on in an occupied home
The client lives there during the work. One trade runs late, the next one shifts, and the weeks pile up under the eyes of someone waiting to get their home back.
None of these moments is fate. Each one becomes harmless the moment it's written down at the right time.
Trust is won before you step into their home.
Renovating means stepping into someone's life, in their home, sometimes while they're living in it. Before trusting you with their walls, they judge what they can see: a clear quote, a proper before-condition record, tidy past jobs. At a similar price, the company that shows its seriousness and verified identity comes before the one that's just another quote.
Your public page and your projects don't manufacture that rigour. They make it visible, for the client hesitating to start the work.
The day the budget gets discussed, it's all traced.
With renovation, what protects you isn't the starting quote, it's the trace of everything that has moved since. The before-condition record, every signed variation, the dated photos, what the client approved: gathered and ordered, from the first swing of the hammer to handover.
You no longer dig for the photo of the opened wall in your phone. You open the file, and it shows what was there before and what you added along the way. That's what turns a contested overrun into a formality, and what keeps you from paying for a crack that wasn't yours.
One single way of working, two benefits: it wins you the job, then it covers you on it.
A renovation budget shifts all the time.
Between the surprises, the variations and the trades, margin is decided as the job goes, not at the end. Your real hours, your variations and your margins per job sit in one place, up to date. You see whether a job still pays you after the third surprise, not three months later.
And on site, everything is noted from the job itself: the before-state, the surprise, the photo, even offline.
What we get asked
The questions you're already asking.
A surprise forces extra work: can I bill for it?
Yes, on one condition: stop, price a variation and get it signed before resuming. Without a signed variation, the law treats the extra as a gift, and you won't be paid.
The client contests a budget overrun, what do I do?
You pull out the variations they approved as you went. That's where the dispute is won: in the signatures obtained at the moment, not in explanations afterwards.
A client pins a crack on me: how do I prove it was already there?
With the before-work condition record. If the existing state was documented before you started, you prove what was already there. Without it, the defect is pinned on you by default.
Do I have to replace my quoting software?
The quote isn't the end, it's the first brick of your file. In renovation, it's the variations and the before-state that protect you, and that's what we hold, from quote to handover.
Does it really fill in on site?
Yes. The before-state, the surprise, the photo, the variation: everything is captured on the spot, even offline. That's where the proof is taken, not in the evening at the office.
I mostly renovate private homes, is it for me?
Yes. That's exactly where the file matters most: in someone's home is where the budget gets discussed and where damage gets contested.
The common ground
What secures your project doesn't depend on your trade.
The principle is the same across every job you take on: the agreement holds from the quote, the proof files itself as the work goes, the handover closes cleanly. That's what we call a Secure Contract.
